Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to give you a heads up if you did not know about AW STATS. I was poking around trying to find some tools that keep track of website activity so I could learn a bit more about the traffic I was getting to my sites and how they were finding me. I stumbled across AW Stats and was downing it when I needed some additional information from my hosting company to finish the install. I use D9 and so I sent them an e-mail for the info..When they replied back I was not only very pleased but also very thankful. All of the people there are very respectful and helpful.I appreciate that!
I did not know that I could get those results right from the c-panel as they already have that feature installed there for our convenience.I just wanted you all to know that, because I did not. It is mostly due to being so new at all of this.
That is what I appreciate about D9. There patience and understanding is remarkable.I get all of my questions answered in a very timely manner and have yet to have any of the reps give me an answer back that has made me feel like I was a nuisance to them.

And for all of you that are using them I suggest you take a look at your AW Stats.You will get an amazing glimse as to what keywords are being used to find your site and many other bits of important information.For those of you who are not using D9…consider this your warning

This post is in relation to the “Can I Work Any Harder” post. A few of my regulars gave us some great comments on that post! I have been out and about working diligently at building sites with list building (Traffic) being the main focus.
I have learned a ton of different traffic techniques to try and try I have done! Since the beginning of this MC journey I have dedicated myself to being successful at this no matter what it takes.I have literally been on my computer every single day since the beginning of the class back in Feburary 09.
It has been a tough row to hoe. I have seen many successes at traffic generation and have myself endured many failures. Learning product creation and development along with the processes of marketing the product has been a real learning experience.
Yet,I have not made a constant and steady income from all of the efforts that I have patiently put into effect though!
I credit this to my lack of experience and the many ways that a marketer can use to create an income.
One of the most important items that a marketer should concentrate on is the development of a list and their relationship to that list.I have tried many different methods to attract new traffic.After a while things start to put themselves into their own perspective.This is when you really learn.
When I became a Private Pilot I was told by my instructor that all he could do is teach me the basics of flight and the safety issues that should be understood for the safe completion of every flight. He then told me this: “You really learn, when you are all alone and making all of the decisions by yourself.It is during this time that you will truly learn and become the best at what you do.”
I have never forgotten that and see it in play again with my efforts at becoming a truly great Internet Marketer.
So with all of that said and without further adieu, let me get to the subject at hand…TRAFFIC!
I have tried many traffic driving techniques and I would like to share just a few of them with you.
One of the techniques for driving free traffic to your site is by choosing the right domain name to purchase.This take a little time in the keyword research phase but it pays off. Buying a COOL domain name without doing any research on that name is FATAL and FUTILE, especially if you want free traffic. This is a MAJOR mistake!
Here is an example: My church has a website-”New Covenant Living.org” named after the church. It is located in Jackson Michigan. The church staff was wondering why there was not anyone coming to the site except for the regulars.(NO VISITORS) With what I have learned about marketing..I chimed in and explained what the problem was.
You see…If someone was looking for a new church in the Jackson area to visit, how would they find this church?Remember… they do not know the name of any churches Jackson, they are looking for one.Are they going to type New Covenant Living into Google to find out where they are located?How can they..They do not know the name of the church yet.What they would probabl;y type into Google to find a church in Jackson is “church Jackson”
I did some research on that keyword and found that it gets 40.5K searches a month.Yes this could be people searching in Jackson Mississippi, Jackson Michigan, Jackson Tennessee and many others.But the chances that people of Jackson Michigan are among them is likely to be pretty high.
So I bought the domain name and turned it into an affiliate site using Amazon and I sell bibles and other christian products on the site.
Then I direct people interested in finding a church, to our church, from that site.This is just one of the ways that I use to get FREE traffic and now our church has new traffic to their site.I also have an opt in form on the site to capture names and emails there and use this to target people interested in christian products, to resell those type of products to at a later time.(after I have built a relationship with them)
The other method that I use is Article writing.
I have to admit, I did not use this to my advantage and this has by far, been my biggest mistake of all.
In the MC we were not told of how very important this really is.It was mentioned, but not emphasized.Or if it was, I did not take it as such an important thing to be doing. Not to the fault of John I must say, because his MC is about product creation and using affiliates to promote your product.But this will never bring a steady income! It can however bring you a substantial income! IF>>>IF….you have created a product that is in demand.After the excitement has worn off and the Internet community has seen your product, you will get residual sales but the large income you may have received in the beginning will die off.NOW WHAT! Without your own list to promote products to, you are facing a dilemma.
Article traffic is by far the best way to create traffic either to your product site or to a site that you have developed to drive traffic to another affiliate product.
Now>>>how do we do this to the best of our ability? That is the question.There is only ONE answer!
We have to schedule the time to write the article and we have to submit it to as many article directories as possible.
How do we do this? We can not write an article and spin it to hundreds of different directories…it would just take up to much of our time.So we MUST use an automated service.I use Article Bot. This program allows me to submit one article to literally over 400 different article directories.WOW! Can you see the benefits here?think of this>10 articles X 400 directories=4000 back links to your site So that means if you were to write just 1 article a day for 30 days and submit them, in a 1 month period you would have 12,000 back links to your site.
Now let common scene prevail…if you only had a 5% CTR, that would mean that 600 people would be looking at your site.If only 5% of those people (30) bought a product from you @ $20.00, you would receive $600.00 in commissions. And these estimates are very, very low!Using the right techniques for article writing, you can get a CTR of over 20%.That’s 4 times as much!
I am going to end here as I have just started to see some results of my efforts and want to give it some more time before I show you my CB account to prove it to you. But in the mean time..What do you have to loose if you are not using this method to increase your list>That’s right..A BIGGER LIST… and an additional income!
